Paul McCulloch

Paul began his business career in 1983 after graduating cum laude from the University of Memphis with a major in Finance. He then served as a National Bank Examiner for the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, a division of the U.S. Treasury. Next, Paul was involved in starting and establishing three different risk management/commercial insurance operations focused on insuring financial, errors and omissions, property, and professional liability risk for all types of financial institutions and businesses across the United States. He founded a Lloyd’s of London program, which he established and ran for over 15 years, where a wide variety of difficult to place financial risks were insured.

 
In 1995, Paul began a new operation for Private Business Inc. in Brentwood, TN, creating a new subsidiary, Private Business Insurance.  Paul sold that operation when the company went public in 1999. Paul then started Banc Internet Group as a pioneer in bank internet technology in 1999. Paul led the company to acquire Goldleaf Technologies from Equifax Corporation in July 2001. At that time, Banc Internet Group changed its name to Goldleaf Technologies Inc. Paul led the company as CEO to become the leader in financial institution web solutions, web based ACH payment solutions, and the first web based Remote Deposit, Check 21, software solution.  Goldleaf had over 100 employees and over 3,000 bank clients when Paul led its sale to a a public company, which changed its name to Goldeaf, in 2006.
 
During the course of his career, Paul has also owned a number of different businesses, including a music row recording studio, a chain of dry cleaners, a chain of Smoothie King's, a land development and construction company, and a factory producing low-melt polyester fiber and related products. Paul is an entrepreneur at heart and enjoys the challenge of finding and creating new opportunities.
